After all that talk about a Whitney Houston biopic, the juice has finally been spilled that the Lifetime movie, “Whitney” (directed by Angela Bassett, starring YaYa DaCosta) is set to premiere on January 17, 2015.

It’s a known fact that Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown were one of the music industry’s top couples.  Therefore, the film will give fans a glimpse of the astranged relationship between the late singer/actress and singer, from courtship to marriage.  Yaya DaCosta and Arlen Escarpeta will portray the couple, even though Bobbi Kristina (Whitney and Bobbi’s Love Child) is probably still pissed because she did not get casted to play her mother in the movie.  Whitney’s vocals will be sung by  Singer, Deborah Cox.  The soundtrack is said to feature songs such as “The Greatest Love of All,” “I Will Always Love You,” “I’m Every Woman,” and even Bobby Brown’s hit “Every Little Step.”

WAIT!  Don’t turn the channel yet!  The premiere will be immediately followed by an hourlong documentary “Beyond the Headlines: Whitney Houston.”  This documentary will feature interviews with friends and colleagues… even some industry insiders who have invested insight into Houston’s career and will cover the tragedies of her downfall.

Random “I’M JUST SAYIN'” Rants:
“I thought that Whitney believed that children are our future.  Poor Bobbi Kristina didn’t even get to play her mom. #ijs”
“I hope this movie is nothing like that Aaliyah movie- COMPLETE DISASTER! #ijs”
“I hope this biopic doesn’t defame any characters. #ijs”
“Better be worth watching because that James Brown movie was a major Let-Down also! #ijs”
Sooooo… What do you think? Will you watch “Whitney” on Lifetime come January 17?  Will it be worth it? Post your comments below and Share!!!
